What is Titan?
The Titan system is the first tailored infrared laser light treatment source for sustained deep dermal heating to stimulate the production of healthy collagen and to increase circulation.
What areas of the body can be treated with Titan?
The most commonly treated areas include the face, neck, abdomen, thighs and underarms.
How does the procedure work?
The broadband spectrum of 1100 to 1800nm was selected and tailored for ideal water absorption and allows uniform and even heating of the dermis to produce volumetric heating. Volumetric heating, 1-2mm deep, is necessary to produce the desired clinical result and requires sustained temperature increase in the dermis. Further, the infrared light-based approach provides uniform consistent heating independent of skin structure, i.e. dermal thickness or fat layers.
- The Titan™ heats the dermis to cause collagen contraction while preserving the epidermis through continuous cooling. In addition, Titan can stimulate long-term collagen rebuilding that leaves patients with younger looking skin.
- Titan utilizes a safe infrared light source with a unique wavelength filtering design to uniformly heat the dermis. The non-invasive Titan Procedure protects the epidermis through continuous contact cooling with the Titan handpiece while the infrared light heats the deep dermis. No down-time or pain medication is required. It is a nonablative, nonsurgical lifting procedure which causes the collagen in the dermis to contract and tighten. The Titan employs infrared light to lift and tighten the skin so that gravity changes are softened, fine wrinkles are less obvious and pores are shrunk.
- The Titan Procedure utilizes a blended, infrared light source to reverse the signs of aging. Titan essentially tricks the body into repairing the skin by creating significant heating in the dermis. The overall skin structure contracts due to the applied heat and subsequent collagen denaturing which continues over time.
What kind of results can I expect?
High patient satisfaction is usually achieved within 1 to 3 treatments. Some patients see subtle results within a couple of weeks of the treatment, however, for most patients the results gradually appear over a three to six month period. Patience and realistic expectations are required.

Titan laser treatments are available at Fountain of Youth Cosmetic Procedures, in Riverside, California. Titan laser treatments are performed by our certified, skilled Registered Nurses or staff physicians.
How do I know if I am a good candidate for Titan?

What would keep me from being a good candidate for Titan?
If you are a Type I diabetic, pregnant, have an infection or auto-immune disorder, we will not be able to do the procedure. If the treatment desired is over tattoos, over the extremities of diabetic patient’s with peripheral neuropathy, or over a suspicious skin lesion or infection, over superficially prevalent retained surgical hardware, or over a pace maker or similar device we will not be able to do the procedure

Patients will be treated to a friendly, professional, and informative consultation with specific focus on their concerns. The recommended treatment or procedure will be explained and discussed in detail and all of your questions will be answered.
What should I expect on the day of my appointment?
Our staff at the Fountain of Youth Medical Spa will completely comfort you, prepare you, and guide you through your treatment procedure with the utmost professionalism and hospitality. Prior to most laser treatments, a topical anesthetic is used to minimize any discomfort that may result.
