What is Vascular/Vein Laser Treatment?

Vascular and vein laser treatment is the process of reducing or gradually fading the appearance of pigmented vascular and vein malformations about the face, thighs and legs. The most common and effectively treated pigmented vascular malformations include facial telangiectasias, fine leg telangiectasias, spider leg veins, and port wine stain vascular malformations. At the Fountain of Youth Medical Spa, we offer the Cutera Xeo YAG laser, which is the preferred laser for treating vascular and vein malformations.

How does the procedure work?

By selective application of the Cutera Xeo YAG laser, the laser targets the pigmented hemoglobin or oxyhemoglobin within the targeted vascular malformations resulting in reduction and gradual fading by processes known as photothermolysis/photocoagulation.

What kind of results can I expect?

Results vary with skin type and individual physiological characteristics of the targeted skin. The treatment parameters can be finely tuned to provide the safest and most effective results possible. Usually, more than a one treatment is necessary to achieve the desired effects. Periodic (every 6 to 12 months) follow-up treatments may be necessary to maintain the desired benefits of the vascular and vein laser treatment procedures.
